Experience

Coach Christian is from Chicago Illinois and has been playing hockey since the age of three. During his hockey career, as an athlete, he played ten years of AAA hockey in the MWEHL with The Chicago Fury and The Chicago Young Americans. In 2010, at the age of 18, Christian was drafted first round, first pick overall as a defenseman for The Peoria Mustangs Jr A Hockey Club. As a hockey player Coach Christian worked with some of the best developmental coaches in the USA including Coach Gus Liatos and Coach Brad Layzell. Coach Gus Liatos is considered one of the most accomplished youth hockey developmental coaches in Illinois having worked with and developed numerous players some of whom went on to play at AAA level and in the USHL, Division 1 and the NHL. Brad Layzell, a former NHL player and Canadian gold medalist as Captain of Team Canada, has seen his players reach AAA, the USHL, the OHL and the NHL.

Before moving to Los Angeles Coach Christian worked with his father, Coach Gus Liatos, in growing the Bison Hockey Program, in Illinois, a private youth developmental program that has placed multiple players in AAA programs throughout the State. Players developed through the program are now competing at Jr. A, D-1 and NHL levels.
