our Story & Values

The California Heat is a not-for-profit youth hockey organization located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley at the LA Kings Valley Ice Center.  We offer high level training via professional hockey instructors to beginning and experienced players ranging in age from five to eighteen.

All California Heat teams compete under the administration of USA Hockey, which in California, is represented locally by the California Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) and the Southern California Amateur Hockey Association (SCAHA). Originally founded in 1991 as the West Valley Wolves, the club is one of the oldest in the Southern California Amateur Hockey Association (SCAHA), carrying a strong tradition of success and a family-oriented atmosphere. The West Valley Wolves officially changed its name to California Heat in 2012.
